A Classic--Safe Choice
Seems to be fine--my one year old is not as engaged with this toy as I had hoped, but it is still a great toy. She likes to use the rope to pull it behind her.

A good old toy!!!! Thank GOD there are still a few left.
Got this toy for my grandson who loves phones. Was beyond excited that it still existed as his mom had one when she was little. It's nice to see a toy that isn't "high tech" or "super educational"....just a good old fashion toy that lets him use his imagination, learn hands on by doing and doesn't require batteries, etc etc. Think kids now adays don't get enough of that....everything is high tech and no chance for them to just plain be kids.

Cute toy
I was really excited to see this toy because it reminded me of the one I had when I was little. My only issue is the too long pull cord. I was going to cut it at first, but then decided to take the phone apart and put it inside the phone. That way I can take it back out when my son is older.

Bought this for my daughter's first birthday and one year later,she still loves it.It's easy for small hands and the volume is adjustable for parents needs.You can also buy extension kits with more letters.I'd get this as a gift for any kid 9 months and up.

Now THIS is a TOY!
Great toy- my four month old cannot take her eyes off of it! When she is having tummy time she keeps reaching for the balls and when she is sitting in my lap she loves to reach for the elephant's trunk and grab the pieces! I wish I had had this for my son- perfect toy for content play time. No frustrations from the baby, no obnoxious noises for this mommy- soft, happy music and we are both good to go!

Great for helping a child sit up
This has helped my 6 month old learn to sit on her own. She is not able to drop the balls in yet but she loves this toy. The sound effects are great and not something you will get sick of hearing over and over.

strangely interesting and stimulating!
I bought this for my one-and-a-half-month old, and she loves it! She must find it strange but interesting, cause she can spend an hour just staring at the elephant face! and the patterns on the rings. Plus, she loves it when i juggle with the rings. And the soft rings are perfect. She also likes it when i put the hard balls under her feet when she lies in the playmat - she starts kicking like mad and smiling too. The lights and music she's not so into yet, but I think she will be once she can drop the balls in herself....

What a Wonderful toy!
I bought this for four-month-old grandson and gave it to him early last night when he was fussy...talk about an instant distraction. His eyes grew wide; he started batting it, got a reaction, batted some more. He was excited, focused, enthused, delighted. After about 10 minutes of intense concentration playing, he had "sensory overload" according to his mom. That's when 3-year-old grandson and my husband began to play with it.

Grandson listened to, then started singing along with the alphabet song, looking to each of us for affirmation - so proud of himself, so thrilled to learn. My husband "discovered" the 3 settings and started playing the individual alphabet songs. I even looked up the lyrics to one of the upbeat songs, Wait for the Wagon (for the letter W)- written 1851. Then he and the boy pressed the alphabet letters to make the sounds of each and repeat. I had no idea what all this ball could do when I bought it - it's pure magic, wonderfully entertaining and provides a wealth of diverse fun and educational activities to bring joy and smiles to old and young alike.

The individual buttons may be slightly difficult for little fingers to press, but that's what parents (and grandparents)are for - to become involved and share in learning and *Discovery* with their children. Love this toy, can't wait to return Christmas day and maybe I'll get it all to myself, although I'm kind of looking forward to playing with the remote control train.

Great for babies learning to sit!
This toy was the BEST when my son was learning to sit up by himself. We would put the Discovery Ball in front of him and he could grab it and spin it, and it would make noises! He absolutely loved this toy.

Once he started crawling and being more mobile, it wasn't so interesting anymore - but I believe it served it's purpose.

Loved it as baby and still loves it 4 years later!!!
I got this one, but the spansih version, for my daughter when she was about six months old. She just turned 5 years old and she still loves it! As a baby, I would roll it to her and she would "catch" it. She loved listening to the alphabet song. Now that is in kindergarten, she still loves to listen to the Spanish alphabet and sings along with it. It is very educational and I highly recommend it to anyone regardless of English or Spanish version. This is one of the best toys ever!!!

Educational, motivational, and FUN!
We got this toy for my 4 month old son thinking he could play with it when he got older. As soon as we got it, it looked so cute I decided to open it early. Thank goodness I did! My son is now 6 months old and this is his absolute favorite toy, especially the Roll-A-Round balls that it comes with. These balls have taught him how to hold things and have helped him advance his dexterity. They have also taught him how to scoot on his belly, almost to crawling, because they roll away and make him want to get to them. He has also learned how to grab across his body because of them. I highly recommend this toy and am looking to purchase more of the Roll-a-Rounds because they are such a hit in our home.

Cute toy
I love how the balls roll and spin on this toy. It is also fun for my daughter to try putting other toys on it and watching them spin around. The balls are also fun on their own. The downfall of this toy (and why, I think, my daughter doesn't play with it much) is that when she tries to pull it, the front end lifts up and the balls fall off.

Great toy. Encourages walking and running as well as just rolling on the floor as a toy. It has brought some fun times for our youngest grandson.

Good toy for girl or boy
This is an adorable toy for toddlers, it sings and says many different things when you use the blocks to drive down the ramp and drive them thru the car wash. My daughter also has the Happy Home set which inspired me to buy this Wash & Wax set. She loves them!

Good toy-for five minutes
My little girl is everywhere. This toy occupies her for five minutes and then she is on to the next thing. She loves the block shape cars. The words and songs are clear, Overall I was very happy with the purchase and I am planning to buy the rest of the set. Thank you Amazon!

My daughter loves this!
We just added this and the barn to her "happy home" set. She loves all the pieces. She is a year now and has been enjoying these sets since she was 8 months old. They are easy to hold and use (I think that is why they are block shaped). I am not at all worried about her growing up and thinking everything should be blocked shaped. We love this and Highly recommend the whole collection!

Has held up thru our 2 and all the neighbors!
My son got this as his big 1st b-day present in 2005 right after they came out, he honestly didn't show a lot of interest in it...he liked it but it wasn't his favorite. But ever other kid that came over under the age of about 8 played with this toy. As my son got older he learned that the dino worked as a great HotWheels track! He still plays with it today it in fact is the only toy that is in our TV room all the time, because no matter what if I put it in the Playroom it just gets drug back out by a kid. My 15 month old has loved this toy since about 6 months when he started sitting up and could hold things, he loves it! He can play with this toy for almost an hour without any problems. My nephew was 4 in August and still goes to this toy first, he is the only kid that I babysit that has been able to get the head off, not sure how, but it isn't a big problem it snaps right back on!
Our's still looks pretty much brand new, I wipe it down with a wet cloth to remove all the stickness, but we haven't lost any parts except the trap door, which my son took off because it slowed the ball down. The toys on top are still in tact and I think we have only had to change the batteries once, in the almost 3 years we have had it.
LOVE THIS TOY! I am in fact looking for one for a decent price for my nephew for Xmas this year....I didn't know they had been discontinued by Fisher-Price and that you couldn't get them at the stores anymore...it is a shame it is agreat toy!

Enjoy this product but never paid as much as amazon wants.
My son loved this toy. We bought it for him for christmas when he was 6 months old and he always played with it. He enjoyed watching the balls come out of the holes, we even bought more balls for it. We did have the problem with balls sticking but that never stopped my son from playing with it. We never paid as much as what amazon wants for it though. I bought it from Wal-mart for about $40. My son is now 3 years old and we have it set up still (now for his little sister who loves it too) and to this day he still plays with it.

Happy Roar for this Dinosaur
My son recieved this toy when he was 5 months old. Now, my son is 2 years old and he still loves to play with it from time to time. He has loads of fun jamming the balls in the holes and gets a kick out of the music and sound effects (he even mimics the Dino's "roar" which is cute).

It is a pretty pricey toy, though. But, we have gotten our money's worth because he still plays with it and he'll be playing with it for some time to come. There are a handful of toys my son asks me to get for him to play with, this is one of them. He, truly, loves it.

I have not had any problems with this toy as far as durabiliy goes. In fact, I haven't even changed the batteries yet.

I do recommend this toy.
