Better design than the Fisher Price counter part5
Fisher Price also has a book like this but THIS books pages are high gloss stickers that are perfect and easy to wipe off. The Fisher Price one has cardstock pages glued to their hard plastic "pages" so not nearly as baby friendly!

My DD has loved this book for over a year now. I'd buy again and also in different stories.

No off button - talks in the toybox at night2
This toy is cute, durable and fun to play with. For me, however, I have to be able to use the toy in a way that a parent would. The toy has no off button, only louder and quieter. That means if my child has been playing with the toy, I have to make sure to flip the book to the last page and have it say, "the end" to make sure it doesn't keep talking to itself in the toybox at night. Very irritating. An off button would be great. The only other setback is that the toy never finishes a Rhyme, so if your child plays with it on his own, he basically only knows part of the rhymes. The rest of the rhyme is printed on each page for the parent to read to the child, but that's not always how these kinds of toys are used. I give it 5 stars for durability, 2 for education (imcomplete rhymes), 2 for fun (3 - 5 minutes of play at a time), and two stars because it's so bothersome to not have an off switch and because again, the rhymes are incomplete.

Cute and Fun5
We've had this book on our changing table to entertain our daughter practically since she came home from the hospital. Now, at a little over two months, she has learned how to move some of the buttons to get it to play music (she can do the star and the baby, and occasionally the barn door) on her own. It is a good distraction for her while we're changing her. When she gets a little older, I'm sure we will still be using it for sing alongs and eventually help her learn to read.
